Radiographic Anatomy of the Breast: Subdivision by Zones, According to the Hands of the Clock and into Anatomical Parts

The breast is an organ that is profoundly different from one person to another, both externally and internally, and also changes over time in the same person. This chapter deals with radiographic anatomy information that can be taken from the mammographic image, according to different ways of subdividing it and correlating it with explanatory drawings for a better understanding. The aim of the chapter is to provide an advanced understanding of the mammographic image, provide an image gallery and localise findings in different projections.
