On Digital Breast Tomosynthesis and Mammography with Contrast Medium: Notes on Molecular Breast Imaging
摘要
This chapter discusses digital breast tomosyntesis (DBT): explanations are given on the mechanism of operation, the reconstruction algorithms used, and the related artefacts. The pros and cons of the method compared to digital mammography (FFDM) are also mentioned. The second topic covered is contrast-enhanced spectral mammography (CESM) from the basic physics to the acquisition protocol. CESM is also compared to breast MRI examination. The last topic is molecular breast imaging (MBI), included PEM, lymphoscintigraphy and sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB). The dose delivered, under standard conditions, is given for all the methodologies discussed.
