A rapid increasePollution in the exponential growth of world’s population has created an increase demand of energy and food, thereby intensifying the use of agricultural land. But in the twenty-first century crop productionCrop production has been facing various challenges, such as climatic fluctuations, environmental degradation, urbanization and soil fertility. Injudicious and irregular use of agrochemicals including pesticides, synthetic fertilizersFertilizer, in traditional farming for enhancing per acre crop yields is increasing day by day but at a substantial environmental degradation. Scientific community of whole world is trying to increase the crop productionCrop production from the existing land condition as well as without tempering environmental condition and soil fertility. In future, an alternative strategy should be applied for sustainable crop productionCrop production in an environmentally sound manner, like use of RhizobacteriaRhizobacteria, specifically Plant growthPlant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPRPlant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR)). Rhizospheric bacterial communities provide a pivotal function in influencing physiology and development of plants. Rhizophere, known as plant’s root zone which is a conjoining area that links soil microorganismsMicroorganisms and plants, inhabited of root vicinity. This region of soil serves as one of the most perplexing networks of cross talks among microbes and plants. Root exudates released by plants act as a chemo-attractants for rhizospheric microbiome. Various compounds released from plant root like amino compounds, organic acids, phenolic compounds, hormones helped to alter physicochemical nature of soils, also reform and reconstruct soil microbe composition of rhizosphereRhizosphere region, known as PGPRPlant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR).
