摘要

FRP-reinforced concrete (RC) beams shear behavior differs from the traditional RC beams reason of the lesser modulus of elasticity and the brittle elastic failure of FRP rebars. Several models, codes, and provisions have been developed to anticipate the shear strength of FRP-RC deep beams. However, existing design provisions for such beams often rely on empirical calculations with limited datasets. In this study, a comprehensive database was compiled with 162 experimental and 93 numerical data for accessing the accuracy of the existing shear design provisions for stirrup less RC deep beams strengthened with longitudinal FRP bars. It shows that the existing codes, standards, and guidelines are generally conservative to ensure safety in design. While some proposed models perform well on average in terms of several statistical parameters but show unconservative results in a significant percentage.
