Final Discussion, Conclusion of the Book, and Recommendation for Further Authors

This final discussion of this Book, I present a full summary of the empirical research I conducted onsite in Malaka-Timor, Indonesia (West Malaka Sub-district of Malaka District, East Nusa Tenggara Province) over a period of seven months (July 9 2016–February 9 2017). I used survey and in-depth interview data from 320 affected households of flood disaster in 16 villages or regions in Malaka-Timor i.e., Lasaen, Umatoos, Fafoe, Besikama, Raimataus, Oanmane, Lofoun, Naas, Sikun, Rabasa, Rabasahain, Rabsahaerain, Motaain, Maktihan, Umaloor, and Motaulun, and 37 stakeholders in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Stakeholder Meeting (SMEs) for the participatory discussions to summarize the findings and recommendations of this book as a whole. The obtained information data was from the households and stakeholders’ risk perceptions regarding what and how did they build their resilience strategy to cope with flood disasters/hazards in their regions. The presentation of the book in this chapter concludes the overall discussion and analysis. In addition, we can also see detailed risk perception data of how were affected communities and stakeholders coping with/perceiving flood disasters/hazards in Malaka-Timor, Indonesia in the Appendices Section from point A1 until point E4 both in English and Bahasa versions.
