Knowledge Management in South Australian Wineries
摘要
This study is the first on the major wine production areas of South Australia. The aim was to investigate when, how and what information wineries gathered, was it stored, do they have management support, do they have a knowledge vision, and do they have a dedicated person who has responsibility for knowledge management? The key finding of this research was the failure of the surveyed wineries to convert more of their tacit information (conversations, phone calls and personal information) into explicit information. This study, the first experimental study of the state of knowledge management in the five largest winegrape crush areas of South Australia replicates the findings of previous researchers on this subject.
