Spine Trauma

Signs and symptoms of spine injury may be limited to localized pain and muscle contracture. Confirmation of a vertebral injury is based on the radiographic and CT scan assessments. This chapter highlights the normal radiographic presentation of the spine, the patho-anatomic types of spine injuries, the neurologic examination, and the pitfalls of spine trauma.
