Management of Head Trauma
摘要
The first and most important action for the ER physician dealing with a patient admitted for head trauma is to define the degree of severity of the injury: Is it a mild trauma with no further progression or consequences? Or is it a severe injury requiring a specialized consultation and care? A primary careful systematic physical examination is fundamental for the initial decision-making: a simple close clinical observation is usually required for a mild head trauma, while reanimation measures are applied for a severe one.
