Pre-anesthesia Workup for Adult Patients with Limb Injury
摘要
Many patients admitted in emergency may require anesthesia as they may undergo either a surgical intervention or a painful procedure such as a closed reduction of fracture or dislocation. A pre-anesthesia consultation (by the anesthesiologist) is medico-legally mandatory; it includes the review of the medical file, the patient’s history and physical examination, and the request of specific tests when needed, based on the patient’s condition.
