Fractures Around the Knee
摘要
Fractures around the knee include fractures of the distal femur (supra-condylar, inter-condylar, and uni-condylar fractures), the patella (transverse and sagittal fractures, bony avulsions), and the tibial plateau (uni-condylar, by-condylar, and partial fractures). CT scan assessment (2D and 3D) is mandatory for the surgical planning as open reduction and internal fixation is the gold standard treatment for displaced and unstable fractures.
