Traumatic Injuries to the Pelvic Ring

The pelvis is a bony ring structure consisting of anterior, posterior, and lateral parts. Traumatic injuries may affect any part of the ring, resulting in either isolated or combined bony injuries. In polytrauma patients, pelvic injuries may correspond to a life-threatening condition. CT scan with 2D and 3D reconstruction is considered indispensable for the evaluation of pelvic injuries.
