Fractures, Dislocations, and Fracture–Dislocations of the Carpal Bones

Carpal bones injuries are common in road traffic accidents, domestic trauma, sports practice, and work accidents. Radiographs of good quality along with appropriate views are crucial for the diagnosis. The patient usually presents with a variable degree of wrist pain and functional disability. The main differential diagnoses are: carpal and perilunate dislocations, lunate dislocations, scapholunate dissociations, fractures of the scaphoid or any other carpal bone, etc.
