Elbow Dislocations

There are three anatomic types of elbow dislocation: posterior, postero-lateral, and postero-medial. In children, elbow dislocation is commonly associated with fracture of the medial epicondyle. In adult, fracture of the radial head and/or the coronoid process may be associated with elbow dislocation. Terrible triad of the elbow is a very unstable injury pattern defined by the association of the three injuries together.
