Conjunctivodacryocystorhinostomy (CDCR) with Jones Tube

In cases of epiphoraEpiphora due to upper lacrimal system obstruction, a canalicular bypass surgery or conjunctivodacryocystorhinostomy (CDCR)Conjunctivodacryocystorhinostomy (CDCR), with placement of a glass or Pyrex® (Jones) tube may be indicated. Glass or Pyrex® is requisite owing to capillary attraction. These may be implanted with or without an external incision and with or without an endoscope. Complications include migration or occlusion of the tube. Cleaning or tube exchange is usually necessary over time.
