Evaluation of Technical Ability of High-Level Table Tennis Players Based on Multimedia Video

In view of the technical characteristics of table tennis matches and the shortcomings of traditional evaluation methods, a technical ability evaluation system for high-level table tennis players based on multimedia video is constructed. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the technical ability of high-level table tennis players based on multimedia video. We will use a 3D motion analysis system, Kinect for Xbox 360, to measure the technical performance of each player in a real-time environment, and then use statistical software (SPSS) for analysis. The competition data collection software was developed, and the technical data of high-level athletes at home and abroad were collected by using competition video to achieve the continuity and systematicness of data collection. The PSO algorithm combined with neural network was used to evaluate the technical ability of high-level table tennis players on the spot. The model accuracy and convergence were good, which provided a certain decision-making reference for guiding athletes’ training and competition.
