Everyone is discussing big data, which has become a key word in today's world. Borrowing data to record all aspects of human life and reflect it in a specific form has not only changed our way of life, but also has a profound impact on piano education and teaching. The disadvantages of traditional piano education and teaching are becoming more and more obvious. TX. Che advent of the era of big data will provide a good opportunity for innovation in piano education and teaching. The purpose of this article is to conduct research based on the innovation of piano education and teaching under the background of big data. This article first analyzes the internal logic of big data to promote piano education and teaching. Under the guidance of the theory of big data classroom, pay attention to the overall development of students’ piano skills, pay attention to the balance and integration, integration and application of piano courses; pay attention to students’ learning habits and pay attention to piano education. This article focuses on exploring the teaching methods suitable for popular piano lessons, and summarizes the curriculum reform plans and measures for piano education and teaching under the background of big data. Research shows that the age group and gender ratio of piano students are very different. At the kindergarten level, 68% of girls learn piano, while only 12% of boys learn piano. Only 12% of students practice piano for more than one and a half hours a day. There is not enough time to practice piano after class, and parents have misunderstandings about their children’s learning piano. The number of people who choose piano learning in order to cultivate their children’s hobbies accounts for 57% of the surveyed population. The traditional teaching model cannot meet the social needs shown, and reforms are urgently needed.
