The creation of shopping environments that offer unique sensations and experiences, with maintenance sustainability is an integral part of commercial design concept. There is also a growing popularity in developing adaptive reuse areas for creative industry actors. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate how perception influenced authentic interior architecture atmosphere within adaptive reuse concept at M-Bloc Space, creative area occupying adaptive reuse site in Jakarta. Visitors’ perception was assessed regarding the authenticity of adaptive reuse atmosphere image (integration of authentic interior architecture and visitors’ interaction), nostalgia, and on-site behavior. Adaptive reuse buildings play a crucial role in preserving the historical and cultural values of old structures while providing new functions, particularly in a new role as retail areas. Furthermore, it significantly contributes to sustainability efforts in urban areas. This study used a mixed-method approach, which started with a focus group discussion to identify relevant indicators, followed by a survey of 100 participants from the upper-middle segment. The object was atmosphere of adaptive reuse interior architecture at M-Bloc Space, Jakarta. The survey results were analyzed using descriptive statistics, which showed a positive perception of authentic interior architecture atmosphere within adaptive reuse concept. This study provided valuable insights into the model and parameters of authentic interior architecture atmosphere, nostalgia, and visitors behavior, as understanding these factors was crucial for ensuring the sustainability of the retail concept. In addition, the potential for replication in various other cases was highly promising.
