This chapter investigates the complex interaction between computer equipment’s energy footprint and the convergence of human psychology, business analysis, and project management approaches. It examines how organizational and individual decision-making affects energy use in the IT industry, drawing on concepts from behavioral psychology. Through the application of a business analysis framework, this chapter pinpoints the primary variables that drive energy efficiency and suggests tactical approaches to reduce ecological footprint.
