Enhancing Anisotropic Diffusion Filtering via Multi-objective Optimization

This chapter presents a multi-objective approach to obtain the anisotropic diffusion (AD) parameters for effective filter results. In the proposed scheme, the appropriate parameters for the anisotropic diffusion methodology are calculated as the solution which involves the best trade-of between two conflictive scenarios: minimize the noise content in an image as at the same time maximize the image contrast.
