摘要

Enhancing the contrast of images, known as ICE, plays a pivotal role in various applications of image processing and computer vision. Its primary aim is to enhance the visual quality of processed images by improving the distribution of pixel intensities. However, the presence of noise and small pixel clusters detracts from image visualization and hinders ICE enhancement processes by disrupting the proper distribution of significant pixel intensities. Consequently, many ICE methods encounter issues such as artifact generation, noise amplification, oversaturation, and reduced human visual perception.
