(Re)Connecting Bodies and Beings on Country Through an Indigenous Australian Early Childhood Education Outdoor Program

  • Kim Kinnear

摘要

This chapter shares stories from an autoethnographic research project in which the author is studying her embodied and intimate experiences of living with/in/through dis/ability while teaching in an early childhood education bush kinder outdoor program on Indigenous Country in Australia. Indigenous ways of being, knowing and doing in connection with children’s learning offer opportunities to extend further thinking into outdoor bush kinder programs. The chapter seeks to activate a notion of becoming through storied teaching experiences that reconnect the in-betweenness of dis/ability, Indigeneity, and early childhood education in a bush kinder setting.
