Future Applications Beyond Microbial Killing: Promise or Peril?

This chapter is mostly for biomedical engineers and biotechnologists. It is about the future, which is risky to predict at best, an ever-moving target. The technology of radio-controlled autonomous vectors has had a rough start. It has been hidden in government laboratories and published and patented in obscurity. It has been met with suspicion and distrust based on the field out of which it emerged and its dual and nefarious potential use. However, like all disruptive, revolutionary technologies, it will be under suspicion until it is in wide use for at least some common applications. Meanwhile, I am passing the baton to those brave and clever enough to pursue it. We will now let our imaginations take us to future applications.
