摘要

Scientists share a wide range of personal attributes common to humans. They can be biased by their beliefs and prevailing theories, and they can be driven by ambition to distort history and even falsify data. But science is a process designed to deal with human foibles over time. It often appears chaotic in the short term, but history shows us that it works remarkably well in the long term.
