VR Feedback System for Product Design Service

Feedback collection systems in Product design are always realized in 2D version and do not allow simultaneously receiving the opinion of customers and modifying the product. This gap in communication appears in the testing phase of Product design. Many articles have investigated and described similar state of art situations. Starting from a specific experience in Product Service Systems, the scenario of FEEDY (System of Feedback collection based on a game engine) has been formulated. The scope of the research was to develop a unique prototype in a virtual environment that can connect the different stakeholders in Product Design. The goal was to create a scalable product to overcome the gap between the customers and designers. The system is based on an interactive virtual tour using the game engine (Unity 3D) to collect feedback on industrial products, involving customers to share their opinions. The virtual game ambient is in the first person, that improves the personal experience. The interaction with the products starts once the distance trigger is activated. The project is realized in the web version due to the most convenient way to test the prototype. For collecting feedback from FEEDY users, primary and secondary methods of collecting information were used, were conducted three surveys based on Scale Usability System (SUS), after the second questionnaire there were also held interviews.
