Via Porro: Reading and Inspirations from an Urban Space
摘要
Within the framework of the agreement signed between the Department of Architecture and Design of UNIGE and the company S.P.Im., owned by the Municipality of Genoa and specialized in the enhancement of real estate assets, an operational collaboration has been established. Subject of study is the area affected by the collapse of the Morandi bridge, specifically Via Porro, where only three buildings remain after the demolition of those considered at risk for the safety of the area. These buildings are numbered 5, 6, and 11, owned by S.P.Im., and they are part of an energy efficiency project, but at the same time, they can be involved in the revitalization and enhancement of their surroundings, in order to make the entire neighborhood attractive. This neighborhood is where the proposal by the Boeri Studio called Cerchio Rosso is located, which includes various conceptual focuses such as the Memorial, the wind park, the elevated cycling and pedestrian path, and so on.
