AI for Archaeological Heritage Applications
摘要
Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing archaeology by enabling the recovery of historical heritage through advanced techniques. This research focuses on using AI to replicate archaeological artifacts through survey and image analysis, allowing for the reconstruction of missing or deteriorated parts over time. The aim is to delve into the use of AI applications to provide a methodology that can assist in analyzing various reconstruction hypotheses and define a useful tool combining AI algorithms and generative algorithms. This approach enables identification, modification, and implementation of appropriate changes to the geometry of the object under consideration. The specific technique is illustrated through a case study: the reconstruction of a series of amphorae.
