The necessity for the creation of a calculating “machine” by which to assist with solving complicated calculations is not new, nor is the idea of assisting this process through quantum mechanics. Calculating machines date back centuries, with the perhaps earliest being the counting board and the slightly more modern abacus, which seems to have their roots in the ancient Greek and Roman times.
