Cyclic Modelling of Bolted Beam-to-Column Steel Joints: Component Model Implementation Incorporating Pinching and Stiffness and Strength Degradation
摘要
The prediction of the cyclic behavior of bolted beam-to-column steel joints is still nowadays not easily carried out in a general way. Specific typologies have been characterized in terms of their globally hysteretic response, but there are no robust solutions to identify the specific failure modes with reasonable accuracy. This paper addresses the implementation and validation of a cyclic component model that is consistent with the component implementation for the static monotonic behavior of steel joints. In particular, the asymmetry of tension-only and compression-only components is accurately reproduced numerically. It is concluded that the component model reproduces global and local (component) behaviors accurately.
