Security and Reliability Concerns of AI on Critical Embedded Systems
摘要
Rapid progression in AI (Artificial Intelligence) and deep learning technologies has led to integration into IoT (Internet of Things), raising the concept of AIoT (Artificial Internet of Things). AIoT enhances capabilities by merging AI’s decision-making with IoT’s network of interconnected devices and systems. However, this integration also presents significant cybersecurity challenges. Understanding these challenges necessitates a focus on the core principles of cybersecurity: the protection of data Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. As IoT networks expand, securing a vast number of devices becomes crucial. Yet, AIoT introduces inherent complexities and new security concerns. Compromised deep learning algorithms could manipulate AIoT operations, thus threatening the overall security posture. Moreover, as devices continually communicate and share data, protecting this information against breaches, manipulations, or disruptions is critical. In an increasingly connected world, stakeholders must prioritize safeguarding these advanced systems. Emphasizing cybersecurity principles in the AIoT landscape is essential to realize its full potential without compromising security.
