Use of State Estimation for Power System Grid Operations at the National Grid Electricity System Operator, United Kingdom
摘要
This chapter outlines the National Grid Electricity System Operator’s (NGESO) experiences with state estimation. State estimation is the central function that feeds the majority of NGESO’s network analysis capabilities, including contingency analysis, fault level analysis (short circuit analysis), transient generator stability analysis, voltage stability analysis, and optimization functions. The existing state estimation capability will be described, along with its use in real-time operations, challenges of implementation, validation activities performed, and key enhancements that have been developed along with those to be developed in the future.
