Cognitive Disabilities and Accessibility

This STS encompasses a collection of papers accepted for the ICCHP, highlighting scientific contributions that emphasize service, care, policy, and practice in the domain of cognitive disabilities, assistive technologies, and accessibility. These papers reflect a growing recognition of the importance of user-centered approaches, innovative technologies, and inclusive design principles in enhancing the well-being and autonomy of persons with cognitive disabilities. By addressing existing gaps, advancing research and development, and acknowledging ongoing challenges, the session aims to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of cognitive disabilities, assistive technologies, and accessibility, while promoting inclusivity and equity in research, policy, and practice.
