Selective Harmonic Elimination Pulse-Width Modulation of Three-Phase Two-Level and Multilevel Inverter

Models to eliminate 5th and 7th harmonics from the line-to-ground voltage of three-phase unipolar, bipolar, cascade H-bridge inverter, DCTLI and FCTLI are presented in this chapter. Also two case studies are presented, one for single-phase diode-clamped five-level inverter (DCFLI) and another for flying capacitor five-level inverter (FCFLI) to eliminate the 11th, 13th and 15th harmonics from the line-to-ground voltage with two different wave shapes and different total harmonic distortion (THD) and the method to select the desired wave shape.
