摘要

The incidence of amniotic fluid embolism (AFE) slightly increased from 2016 to 2019 from 5.2 to 6.5 per 100,000 deliveries. The typical presentation is a triad of sudden onset cardiopulmonary arrest, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and clinical onset at labor/placental delivery. Pregnancy factors associated with AFE are placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), placental abruption, uterine rupture, intra-amniotic infection, polyhydramnios, fetal demise, and fetal growth restriction.
