Point-of-Care Ultrasound in Obstetrics
摘要
Point-of-care ultrasound is commonly used during obstetric care to assess the maternal and fetal well-being. During a focused assessment with sonography for trauma (FAST) exam in a pregnant patient following a motor vehicle accident, one of the key structures assessed is the uterus and placenta. The FAST exam primarily focuses on identifying free fluid, which can help detect potential internal bleeding and guide further management in trauma situations.
