Adapting and Implementing Evidence-Based Interventions on Inpatient Psychiatric Units

Literature and knowledge of empirically supported treatments (ESTs) in inpatient psychiatric settings for youth are limited. This chapter provides a review of ESTs for youth inpatient psychiatric settings; discusses recommendations for adaptation, implementation, and personalization of ESTs; and describes an example of implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of an EST in this context.
