Overview of the Technical Committee MAE: Mechanical Performance and Durability Assessment of Earthen Elements and Structures

This paper presents an overview of the objective and the achievement so far of the RILEM Technical committee MAE: Mechanical performance and durability assessment of earthen elements and structures. In particular, it focuses on the topics of the three working groups of the technical committee, which are the assessment of mechanical performance of earthen materials and structures, the durability of earthen construction, and the on-site testing methods.
