摘要

This chapter names and explains the basic concepts in the field of energy saving and improvement of the energy efficiency (ES and IEE), which are the main subject of consideration in this monograph with an emphasis on industrial enterprises. It is shown that not in all cases the amount of savings obtained as a result of the implementation of measures on ES and IEE exceeds the funds invested in them.
