Biosynthesis and Cytotoxicity of Curcumin Loaded on CuO NPs Against Hepatocellular (HEPG-2) and Colorectal (HCT-116) Carcinoma
摘要
Curcumin loaded on CuO NPs (Cur@CuO) was laboratory synthesized by biosynthesis method. The product was characterized by (XPS), (IR), (XRD), (UV–Vis.,) and (TEM). CuO crystallizes in Cubic system with crystallite size 37 ± 2 nm. Loading curcumin onto copper oxide enhanced its anti-cancer effect. Cytotoxicity activities of HCT-116 and HEPG-2 cell cultures were studied. Cur@CuO was able to kill human cancer cells that were estimated by MTT assay, cytotoxicity and cell viability. Cur@CuO showed activity against HCT‐116 and HEPG-2 with IC50 = 25.47 ± 1.9, 32.28 ± 2.2 µg/ml, respectively.
