Synthesis and Characterization of Porous NiCo-LDH Nanosheets for Room-Temperature H2S Gas Sensor

Most traditional metal oxide semiconductor gas sensors meet the disadvantage of high operating temperature which leads to high power consumption. Herein, we developed a H2S gas sensor based on NiCo-LDH nanosheets by using Co-glycerate as template via hydrothermal method. The optimal proportion of Co-glycerate and Ni source is explored. The gas sensing tests suggest that the optimum sensor shows a response of 80% to 100 ppm H2S at room temperature, and shows fast response speed of 12.0 s/109.1 s of response/recovery, respectively. Besides, it exhibits superior selectivity and low detection limit (5 ppm).
