摘要

The formation of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) is one of the new breakthroughs from the Indonesian government to overcome the problem of village economic independence. In practice, many villages have established BUMDes. However, traditional management is a serious problem faced by many BUMDes. This research aims to solve BUMDes governance problems using the Design Thinking model. We took a case study at BUMDes Sekar Abadi belonging to Sumbersekar Village in Malang Regency. One of the business units that we examined was the governance of the water distribution business. We developed a website-based application which is the result of the Design Thinking process. The respondents of this research are all parties related to BUMDes, such as the Village Government, BUMDes Managers, BUMDes employees, and the community as consumers of clean water managed by BUMDes Sekar Abadi. The research results show that developing a website-based application named pamsekar.com is the best solution, at this time, in order to improve transparent and accountable management resulting in better Village Original Income.
