Cognitive Model Building to Improve the Efficiency of Enterprise Liquid Cash Management
摘要
Ensuring the successful operation of the management system is a key task. The cash flow management system is central to improving the business’s efficiency. Excessive and insufficient cash (and in the current environment, the latter is the most common) are significant parameters that create an imbalance in the enterprise’s ability to make payments on time. In today’s business environment means that most enterprises face the challenge of choosing their development strategy and tactics. Self-financing of an enterprise’s activities is a top priority for its management. To manage a business effectively, a manager needs reliable information about the assets available to the company to ensure that supplies and taxes are paid on time and that this is done with due regard to the expected receipts shortly. The absence of this information creates significant difficulties in managing the company and can lead to financial losses. The study aims to identify the external and internal factors that influence cash flow management and to determine the density of their connection through the construction of a cognitive map. Data for the study was obtained from the site Clarity Project [1]. As a result of the cognitive map modelling and analysis of the impact concepts, it was found that accounts receivable had the greatest degree of negative impact on cash management. The study was carried out in three municipal enterprises. The cognitive modelling tools were used to establish the relationship between the indicators affecting cash management, i.e., to identify those factors that have the closest relationship with the resulting indicator. The studied enterprises found that accounts receivable had no impact on cash management. Thus, cognitive modelling allows us to reduce the level of uncertainty in future events through the use of expert opinions, scenario forecasting of problem situations, and the appropriate formation of target benchmarks.
