Management of Male Oxidative Stress Infertility (MOSI)
摘要
Male infertility falls under the category of idiopathic male infertility in up to 50% of cases. Male oxidative stress infertility or MOSI has an independent role in IMI. Reactive oxygen species, although necessary in small amounts for normal sperm function, can be overproduced by many etiologies, resulting in oxidative stress (OS) and subsequent male infertility. The aim of this chapter is to briefly review the causes of OS and male infertility as well as the possible treatment options for MOSI, including empiric medical therapy, antioxidants, lifestyle and dietary modification, antibiotics, and varicocele repair.
