摘要

This chapter discusses the role of male accessory gland infection (MAGI) and its impact on male infertility and sexual dysfunction. MAGI includes prostatitis, prostate-vesiculitis, and prostate-vesiculo-epididymitis. WHO diagnostic criteria involve genitourinary infection history, leukocytes or bacteria presence, and signs of infection in ejaculate. The NIH proposes a prostatitis classification. In the absence of pathogenic bacteria, abacterial MAGI can result in dysfunction, duct obstruction, and spermatogenesis dysregulation. The chapter aims to guide MAGI diagnosis, assess its impact on fertility and sexual dysfunction, and discuss therapeutic indications and prospects.
