Research on metal organic frames (MOFs) has gained much attention recently because of its promise for creating frameworks that integrate organic and inorganic chemistry (Almeida et al., 2012) for a range of applications, including energy (Bobbitt et al., 2017; Chidambaram & Stylianou, 2018), catalysis, sensing, separation, and purification.
