On the Dynamic Characterization of Elastomeric O-Rings
摘要
This paper proposes a novel test rig for the dynamic identification of elastomeric O-Rings. The identifications are performed by means of the Base Excitation - Resonance Mass (BERM) method. Thanks to its simple and compact structure, the proposed test bench makes it possible to assess the O-Ring performance under different working conditions: squeeze, stretch and temperature. Finally, the effectiveness of the test bench and the adopted identification procedure is confirmed by the results of some preliminary tests.
