Discussing Sources and Biological-Chemical Remediation Approaches for Microplastic Pollution
摘要
Plastic pollution has reached an alarming state, which demands eco-friendly and sustainable solutions. The possible sources of microplastics (MPs) are untreated plastic waste and single-use plastics in agriculture and day-to-day life. Even though plastics have made life easier, they are causing enormous hazards to flora and fauna of all ecosystems. Preventive measures will play a crucial role in avoiding further burden on Earth, and bioremediation will help to restore a healthy ecosystem with the use of living organisms like bacteria, fungi, and worms. Many studies have been discussed to provide evidence and influencing future research.
