The Peer Mentor and Mentee Manuals

This chapter, “The Mentor and Mentee Manuals,” has six sections. The first, “Reconciling CBPR’s Emancipatory Goals with Practical Realities,” reviews some of the ethical challenges CBPR teams may encounter in prison and how our team addressed them. The next five sections review the contents of the peer mentor manual, beginning with the introduction and then spanning the four modules which comprise the manual: “Women’s Pathways to Prison” (Module One), “Building Confidence” (Module Two), “Trust Building” (Module Three), and “From Surviving to Thriving” (Module Four).
