Spatial Data

In this chapter, we will look at how to work with raster and vector spatial data in R. We will see methods for creating spatial data from a dataset with longitude and latitude, how to plot spatial data, how to project spatial data, and how to compute spatial summaries. Particular attention is placed on the process of merging various data types to create enriched datasets for further analysis.
