Enhancing Industrial Energy Management: Improving Efficiency and Stakeholder Satisfaction

The industrial sector is one of the main ones responsible for energy consumption and producing environmental emissions. Industries need tailed approaches to improve energy efficiency and sustainable practices. Such improvements reduce environmental emissions and costs. However, monitoring energy consumption in real-time is needed to improve energy efficiency. The presented work investigates a real-time monitoring system to improve energy efficiency in industrial settings. By means of systems engineering tools and practices, interviews have been conducted to assess the impact of the presented monitoring system on the efficiency of industrial operations. This work shows how real-time monitoring capabilities and user-centric design may lead to significant energy savings and enhance stakeholder satisfaction. Moreover, the role of technology-driven innovations in improving energy management is discussed. Finally, this article provides recommendations to enhance industrial energy management.
