Exploring Emotions: Play-Based Interventions for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) affects countless individuals worldwide, both young and old, with significant impacts on education, mental health, and social well-being. Early intervention is vital, and recent research offers valuable insights into the global prevalence of ASD. To complement traditional autism therapies, a novel therapeutic approach uses digital games developed with Makey Makey and Scratch. These games aim to improve cognitive skills in children with ASD and explore emotional narratives through two unique modes of play. This approach emphasizes progress monitoring, providing personalized and engaging interventions.
